Shop Review: An intense red color. Aromas of violet and black currant enriched by hints of liquorice and black pepper. In the mouth it is full, round, slightly tannic and with a spicy note on the finish.
My Review: This wine had an aroma of black jam, black pepper, and hints of licorice. I thought this was very bitter with the tannins coming through on the mid palate, but somehow did not have a lasting finish. A black pepper taste came through on the finish as well. The mouthfeel seemed a little heavy which I did not like. This was tasted without food.
