Tasting - Caresse du Terroir

Name: Chateau L'Insoumise Caresse du Terroir Bordeaux
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbex, Merlot, Petit Verdot
Region: Bordeaux
Country: France
Year:  2012
Price: $10.00

Wine Review: One of my personal favorite Bordeaux that I've tried. It's full bodied with high tannin levels, strong oak taste but not overpowering. It's a blend of 60% Merlot, 15% Malbec, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc. Simply delicious. (Review by Vivino.com)

My Review: The color on this wine was a very deep, red. Cherry and blackberries were on the nose. Upon tasting, I did not get any sweetness or sugar, but I did get a slight pepper taste with more blackberries! The mid-palate to the finish was very smooth. Although I felt a slightly heavy mouthfeel, but overall the wine did not linger very long. This was tasted without food.
