Tasting - Dona Sol

Name: Dona Sol Sweet Red Table Wine
Variety: Shiraz, Petite Syrah & Symphony
Region: California
Country: United States
Year: Non-Vintage
Price: $6.95

Shop Review: Shiraz has a unique jammy fruit character that is well represented in the Sweet Red. Both on the nose and on the palate, jammy fruit, like strawberries, cherry pie and red licorice, entices the senses and pair well with cheeses and desserts.

My Review: This wine had a deep red color. Aromas were full of black jam and black pepper in the background. However, when I tasted the wine, I was surprised at how sweet it was! I got the flavor of blueberries with a very smooth mouthfeel. It kind of reminded me of a blueberry cheesecake. I really enjoyed this wine, but had it without food.
